Anheuser-Busch to Pour $16 Million in CapEx into Los Angeles Brewery

Plans to expand packaging for non-beer brands like Cutwater and Nutrl, and make improvements to environmental impact, among other projects.

Anheuser-Busch will invest $16 million to expand and upgrade its Los Angeles, Calif., brewery, according to a release shared by the company.

The infusion of dollars will go toward expansion of packaging capabilities for the Cutwater and Nutrl brands, allowing the facility to handle variety packaging for those products. Additionally, in response to consumer demand, Anheuser-Busch will increase production capacity for 25-oz. cans. Finally, the investment is expected to fund upgrades that will help with water conservation and boiler emission reduction.

The capital spending falls in line with the company’s spending trends over the last five years, during which time it has spent nearly $2 billion at its facilities across the country. To that end, Anheuser-Busch most recently poured $6.5 million into its Williamsburg, Va., brewery (in August 2024) and $13 million into its brewery in Cartersville, Ga. (November 2023).

The Los Angeles brewery has been a part of Anheuser-Busch’s operational network since 1954, the company said in the release.
