Cooper Farms Ramps Up Liquid Egg Production with Two Investments
Oakwood, Ohio-based meat, poultry and egg processor Cooper Farms has increased the efficiency, capacity and sustainability of its egg processing business within the last year with two significant investments to its process line.
The company, which produces eggs and liquid egg products for private-label, food and beverage, and foodservice customers, recently added storage silos at its Liquid Egg Processing plant in Fort Recovery, Ohio, and last year added a new egg breaker to its production line.
The company stated in a release that the investments were necessary to meet growing demand for its products. The egg breaker gives Cooper Farms precision and speed in separating egg whites and yolks, processing thousands of eggs per hour and handling high-volume orders with efficiency.
As a result, the new silos at the liquid egg plant became necessary to hold the additional liquid egg product being processed. Jeff Cutler, director of Cooper Farms, called the added capital “a transformative step forward for Cooper Farms.”
The company also uses energy-efficient technology and an optimized storage system to lower energy consumption and reduce waste without impacting product quality.
