Even before it officially opens its Moore, S.C., plant, Milo’s Tea Co. announced an expansion of the facility, spending an additional $53 million and creating another 80 jobs.
“Spartanburg County was incredibly excited to welcome Milo’s Tea here, and we’re even more excited to share the news of their expansion – all before their facility is fully up and running," said Spartanburg County Council Vice Chairman David Britt.
Operations are expected to begin at the end of November at the 110,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing and distribution facility in Moore, which broke ground in March 2023. The original price was $130 million, and it was predcited to create 100 jobs. It’s the fourth production plant for the company, the others being in Tulsa, Okla., and Bessemer and Homewood, Ala.
This week, the company said it’s adding another production line and enhancements to meet increased demand for its brewing, bottling and distribution. Milo’s is a 77-year-old Alabama-based beverage company producing ready-to-drink teas and lemonade.
