Korean Bakery Company SPC Group to Build Massive Bakery in Burleson, Texas

Jan. 9, 2025
The 1.6-million-sq.-ft. facility would serve the company’s Paris Baguette bakery stores throughout North America, which are currently receiving baked goods as frozen dough manufactured overseas.

Korean bakery company SPC Group will build a new bakery in Burleson, Texas, to serve its growing Paris Baguette brand in the U.S., according to news reports. The company plans to invest $160 million on the massive facility, which will span more than 1.6 million square feet (150,000 square meters), and the local government expecting to chip in about $10 million in funding.

The bakery will supply Paris Baguette stores in the U.S. and Canada, as well as the Latin American market — a target for future expansion, according to the news report. Paris Baguette stores in North America currently receive frozen dough for baked goods from Korean or Chinese plants.

Paris Baguette operates more than 200 stores across North America — more than 50 of which were newly opened in 2024 — with a goal of opening 1,000 stores in North America by 2030. Globally, the company operates in 14 countries with more than 630 stores and a global target of 12,000 stores by 2030.
