Anheuser-Busch Continues to Invest in Breweries, Dedicating $4.2 Million to Williamsburg, Virginia, Facility
Despite the economic roller coaster ride and the fact that many of its publicly traded food and beverage peers appear ready to ease off the gas pedal on capital spending in 2025, Anheuser-Busch continues to invest in its breweries, announcing a new, $4.2 million capital infusion into its Williamsburg, Va., brewery.
The investment is just the latest in more than $2 billion in spending by the company on its breweries across the U.S. over the last five years. The Williamsburg project also represents the seventh such project since November 2023, by our count, and it build upon a $6.5 million investment the company made at the facility in 2024. This time around, Anheuser-Busch says the $4.2 million will go toward upgrading manufacturing equipment to maximize efficiency in the brewing process.
Anheuser-Busch’s prior projects include: a $10 million investment in its Jacksonville, Fla., brewery; a $14 million upgrade of its Houston, Texas, brewery announced last month; $8 million dedicated to its St. Louis brewery and $16 million invested in its Los Angeles facility, each announced in October 2024; the aforementioned $6.5 million spent in Williamsburg, Va., announced in August 2024; and $13 million for Cartersville, Ga., announced in late November 2023.
Anheuser-Busch says it has made more than $1.1 billion in capital investment at Williamsburg since it began brewing for the company in 1972.
