Bone Broth Processor Kettle & Fire Opens Manufacturing Facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania
Shelf-stable bone broth manufacturer Kettle & Fire has announced the opening of a new 167,000-sq.-ft. processing plant in Lancaster, Pa., its first company-owned facility.
The opening of the KettleWorks facility (what the company is calling the new plant) comes on the heels of Kettle & Fire’s securing of a $43 million secondary buyout led by strategic partner Colter Ventures. It is expected that Kettle & Fire will be able to better meet growing demand and deliver high level of service to its customers in the U.S. bone broth market, which was estimated at more than $300 million in 2024.
Justin Mares, co-founder of Kettle & Fire, said the new facility brings an exciting new opportunity for the company: “By owning and operating our production facility, we can continue to position the brand for strong growth while delivering products to nourish our consumers.” Bringing manufacturing of the product in-house can unlock capabilities for the emerging brand. Kettle & Fire was founded in 2014 and offers shelf-stable bone broths, cooking broths and soups at more than 22,000 stores nationwide and online.
