Snack sticks brand Chomps announced in a release shared today (July 31) the opening of its new processing facility in Mexico, Mo., last week. The 300,000-sq.-ft. plant is a co-investment with longtime strategic partner Western Smokehouse Partners (WSP).

The plant will be operated by WSP and dedicated exclusively to Chomps production, the release noted. WSP is expected to employ about 250 full-time workers at the facility Chomps and WSP hosted an open house at the facility that featured state and local officials, community leaders, company representatives and partners, celebrating the opening of the operation, which was first announced in September 2024.

The facility represents a pivotal moment for Chomps’ ability to expand its production capabilities and meet surging consumer demand for its product, with the company reporting year-over-year sales growth of 222% (using Spins data on the latest 52 weeks ending June 15, 2025). Chomps currently produces an average of 2 million individually wrapped snack sticks per day, and the Missouri facility will help double the company’s production by 2026, the release noted.
