Don Pancho Opens 300,000-Sq.-Ft. Facility in Salem, Oregon
Don Pancho, a Mexican foods brand owned by Reser’s Fine Foods, officially opened its new, 300,000-sq.-ft. tortilla plant in Salem, Ore., according to an announcement shared with Food Processing. The facility will focus on manufacture of a wide variety of tortillas and tortilla chips for restaurants and retail customers.
The new facility allows Don Pancho to increase its production capacity, and it also improves its positioning in the face of growing demand for authentic, high-quality Mexican foods across the country. The company noted that the vision for the new plant was to create a facility that could support Don Pancho’s needs for at least the next two decades.
The company hosted a grand opening ceremony Sept. 24, 2025, to celebrate the facility and Don Pancho’s journey from being housed in a 1,500-sq.-ft. building when it was founded in Southern California in 1979 to today. The Salem plant upgrades the company’s environmental footprint as well, featuring energy-efficient LED lighting, a new HVAC control system and a more modern refrigeration system, the announcement noted.
