Chomps announced it will build a new processing plant in Beatrice, Neb., in collaboration with Landmark Snacks — a move that Chomps estimates will boost annual production capacity by 15%, according to a release from the company.

The plant — which would be Chomps’ second dedicated facility — is expected to open in the second quarter of 2027 and span 160,000 sq. ft., with an annual capacity of 150 million meat sticks. Rashid Ali, co-founder and CEO of Chomps, explained in the release that expansion is “an essential step” to meet the “explosive growth” the brand has experienced.

According to Chomps, it has posted 161% year-over-year sales growth, outpacing the category’s 16.1% growth, and that is only expected to improve as consumers demand more protein in their snacking diets.

The new plant will be adjacent to another Landmark facility where Chomps product is already manufactured, and Chad Lottman, owner of Landmark, said it will be “a continuation of that successful partnership.” The facility is expected to create 150 new jobs.
