Anheuser-Busch Jacksonville, Florida, Facilities to Receive $30 Capital Investment
Anheuser-Busch has jumped back on the capital expenditures horse once again to start 2026 — the company announced a new investment of $30 million, this time for its Jacksonville, Fla., brewery and can plant. This is the latest capital the company has reinvested as part of its Brewing Futures initiative announced last year — with a total of more than $300 million invested over the past year.
The only significant blip in the pattern came at the end of December, when Anheuser-Busch announced it would close three breweries, one each in Newark, N.J., Fairfield, Calif., and Merrimack, N.H.
Anheuser-Busch said in its latest announcement on Jacksonville that the capital infusion will go toward upgrading the facility’s brewing and packaging equipment, specifically to help increase production of Michelob Ultra beer. Bottling lines and brewing tanks will be included in the project. In September 2025, the company announced a $7.4 million expense to upgrade its Los Angeles brewery to boost Michelob Ultra production as well.
The company noted that the Jacksonville brewery has been open since 1969, and its Metal Container Corp. (MCC) facility since 1974. Those facilities have received more than $100 million in capital expenditures since 2021 — an amount that is only a portion of the nearly $2 billion the company has invested in its 100 U.S. facilities over the past five years.
