Crisp Power Protein Pretzels announced it has made a $15 million investment to build its first U.S. manufacturing facility, located in Stafford, Texas — which also represents its most significant investment in the U.S. market, in which it first launched roughly two years ago.

Prior to the Stafford facility, Crisp Power’s products were imported from Israel in a bakery acquired by company founder and CEO Gilad Zilberberg. With the new facility, Crisp Power expects to take a significant leap forward in the U.S.

“The U.S. market has validated everything we set out to do,” Zilberberg said in the company’s announcement. “Consumers are actively looking for snacks that deliver real protein and real fiber without compromise, and the retail response has confirmed there's serious appetite for what we've built.”

The company’s initial U.S. success under the import model was first built among digital-first shoppers, the company said, leading to expansion into brick-and-mortar retail. Crisp Power products are available now in more than 3,000 retail locations nationwide. Its products look to help consumers meet their demands for more protein and fiber, and they come in six different flavors.

The Stafford facility is currently operational, the company noted, and it looks to accelerate distribution to new partners in retail and digital stores.
