Bauducco Opens Zephyrhills, Florida, Processing Facility
Bauducco has officially opened its Zephyrhills, Fla., processing plant — its largest U.S. manufacturing facility — according to a release from the company. The 160,000-sq.-ft. plant doubles the manufacturing capacity the company previously had for the American market and brings it under one roof.
Furthermore, as the company’s U.S. footprint grows, the Zephyrhills facility can expand, as it is designed to scale beyond 1.2 million sq. ft. of production and distribution space. The company broke ground on the capital project in March 2025.
Bauducco plans to bring its full wafer cookie product line under a “Made in USA” designation for the first time with the opening of the new facility. The family-owned, Brazilian company was founded in 1952 and sells its Wafer Cookies in the U.S. in chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and coconut flavors in various package sizes, from 40g single-serve to 5-oz. multipacks and 9-oz. family packs, as well as a sugar-free line in 5-oz. and 4.2-oz. sizes.
The Zephyrhills plant is expected to employ more than 600 workers once it reaches full production capacity, the company said. Bauducco will be able to shorten lead times on product, improve supply-chain reliability and respond more quickly to changes in demand in the U.S. market with this new facility online.
