Taylor Farms, Foodiverse Partner to Acquire Bonduelle’s Packaged Salad Business in Germany
Two Bonduelle ready-to-eat salad production plants in Germany have been sold to Taylor Farms and Foodiverse, who will partner to drive growth for the unified businesses in Europe. The plants comprise Bonduelle’s packaged salads business in the country, according to a release from Bonduelle.
Foodiverse already owns an RTE salad production plant (Thurländer Salate) in Germany that specializes in private label, and that plant has combined with the two acquired facilities (effective April 1) to operate under the corporate brand name Greenfresh, within Foodiverse’s European business operations.
The deal increases Foodiverse’s global workforce to 2,650 employees and its production facility count to nine. Taylor Farms and Foodiverse believe the integration of these facilities into the Greenfresh business will help the partnership promote healthy foods and lifestyles to consumers in the region. A gradual integration process will be supported by the international Foodiverse team in order to ease the transition for former Bonduelle employees.
Taylor Farms produces salads and healthy, fresh foods in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, while Foodiverse is a vertically integrated company with production facilities in Spain, Germany, Switzerland and Italy.
