Link Foods Australia, a division of U.S. meat snacks company Link Snacks Inc. (better known as Jack Link’s), has acquired Tasmania, Australia-based Kooee! Snacks, according to a news report from the land down under. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, and the deal became effective July 1, 2025.

Kooee! was founded in 2015, selling product at a farmers market, by former CEO Shaun Malligan and Andy Fist. Since then, the company has sold more than five million packs of meat snacks, the report noted, with sales growth of 30% in June 2025 alone. Malligan will become a consultant for the business.

Kooee! employees will retain their jobs, and Link Foods Australia confirmed to the news outlet that significant changes to operations or management were not expected. The deal moves Link Foods Australia into the better-for-you meat sticks category.

A Link Foods Australia representative told the news outlet that it expects to expand the Kooee! brand globally, potentially starting with New Zealand, Japan, Korea and the UK — capitalizing on the greater Link Snacks Inc. global infrastructure.
