Pipcorn Rebrands to Pip’s Heirloom Snacks

New brand identity communicates the products’ use of heirloom corn, and along with it comes a conversion of 90% of the portfolio to using avocado oil during processing.

UpSnack Brands announced that Pipcorn, one of its better-for-you snack brands, will change its name and identity to Pip’s Heirloom Snacks, reflecting the brand’s evolution from its original mini popcorn into a broad range of heirloom corn-based snacks. Furthermore, in response to consumer demand, the company will make 90% of Pip’s products with avocado oil.

Pip’s was founded in 2012 as Pipcorn and grew after earning an investment on the Shark Tank TV show and the fandom of Oprah Winfrey. Pip’s has expanded its product offerings since, rolling out cheese balls, crunchies, corn dippers, twists and fries in multiple flavors, all since 2019. Each product is produced with heirloom corn. In October 2024, Pip’s joined together with Spudsy to form UpSnack Brands, which is the parent platform for the company today.

“This rebrand is about more than just a new name and look — it’s about clarifying who we are and what we stand for,” explained Sonia Ortiz, marketing director of Pip's Heirloom Snacks. “Being an heirloom-based brand demands that we deliver the best-tasting, highest-quality snacks made with only real, non-GMO ingredients.”
