Del Sol Food Co. Purchases John Wm. Macy’s Bakery

Salad dressings processor acquires manufacturer of baked cheese sticks, cheese crisps and crostinis.

Del Sol Food Company Inc., a Brenham, Texas-based processor of Briannas Fine Salad Dressings, has announced the acquisition of a New Jersey-based John Wm. Macy’s Bakery.

Macy’s manufactures baked cheese sticks, cheese crisps and crostinis, according to a release on the announcement from Del Sol. The bakery began as a Manhattan specialty store nearly 40 years ago, and has grown to have product distribution throughout the U.S. and Canada. Macy’s will continue operations out of its Elmwood Park, N.J., facility, the release stated.

Del Sol’s Briannas products are sold throughout the U.S. and distributed worldwide to retailers and distributors in more than 10 different countries. The company was founded in 1982.
