Manna Beverages & Ventures Intends to Acquire Co-Packer Nor-Cal Beverage
Manna Beverages & Ventures (MB&V) has announced its intent to acquire California-based independent beverage co-packer Nor-Cal Beverage Co., according to a release from Louisville, Ky.-based MB&V.
Nor-Cal co-packs a wide variety of beverage products, including teas, ades, chilled juices, waters and energy drinks, and it is the largest independent co-packer of those products west of the Mississippi River, the release notes. MB&V expects to expand the opportunity to leverage Nor-Cal’s existing resources and tools to a wider audience, and bring its current customers a wider range of services and solutions.
Nor-Cal operates facilities in Anaheim and West Sacramento, Calif. The West Sacramento facility was built in 1974 but renovated from the ground up in 2008, according to Nor-Cal’s web site. The Anaheim plant was purchased by Nor-Cal in 2001, but was built in the 1940s and once owned by Bing Crosby.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. MB&V is an affiliate of Manna Capital Partners.
