SVB Foods Acquires Condiments Processor Vita Specialty Foods

Deal builds off more than a decade of SVB providing contract packaging services to Vita Specialty Foods.

Martinsburg, W.Va.-based SVB Foods has acquired Vita Specialty Foods, a manufacturer of savory condiments like salad dressings, marinades and sauces, SVB announced today. Vita also produces a variety of licensed and private-label products.

Vita Specialty Foods includes subsidiaries Virginia Honey Co. and The Halifax Group (Oak Hill Farms), with the brands of both divisions expected to continue under SVB’s watch. Virginia Brand’s portfolio includes honey and salad dressings, while Oak Hill Farms offers dressings, dips and marinades to consumers.

The acquisition adds to SVB’s contract packaging food manufacturing capabilities, with a focus on savory condiments like salad dressings, marinades and sauces. SVB has provided contract packaging services to Vita Specialty Foods since 2012.
