Wickles Pickles Acquired by Investment Firm Fenwick Brands Inc.

Combination of Alabama-based pickle brand with Moore’s Marinades & Sauces expected to help Wickles scale its growth.

A division of CPG investment firm Fenwick Brands Inc. has acquired Wickles Pickles, according to an announcement from the company. Fenwick Food Group adds Wickles to its portfolio of food businesses, which includes Alabama-based Moore’s Marinades & Sauces.

Wickles was founded in 1998 and has captured significant market share and consumer loyalty in the billion-dollar pickle category, the release notes. In addition, the time was right for the acquisition, as Wickles had reached the point where investment and additional resources were need to scale growth. Fenwick’s leadership believes the combination of the two Alabama-based consumer brands creates momentum for each.

The deal closed on Nov. 29, 2023, and Wickles will be headquartered in Birmingham, Ala., along with the Moore’s business. Financial terms were not disclosed.
