PANOS Brands Acquires Tessemae’s Salad Dressings, Condiments Business

PANOS adds Tessemae’s assets for approximately $4.5 million after the salad dressings and condiments brand filed for Chapter 11 last February.

PANOS (Premium, Authentic, Natural, Organic, and Specialty) brands LLC has acquired the salad dressings and condiments business of Tessemae’s LLC, according to a release from PANOS.

Tessemae’s will complement PANOS’ Walden Farms line of better-for-you salad dressings, the company said, and it is expected that Tessemae’s availability will expand through the acquisition.

Last February, Tessemae’s began a voluntary Chapter 11 filing to restructure its debts in response to litigation brought by a former lender of the company. The deal with PANOS was first revealed earlier this month in local news reports, and it was reported that the cost of the acquisition was $4.5 million.

PANOS is a consumer food products company that manages a portfolio of shelf-stable and perishable specialty food brands across multiple categories and channels, found at most natural, specialty and traditional grocery stores across the U.S.
