Our Home Continues Acquisition Streak, Buys Sonoma Cheese Snack Company

Sonoma Creamery addition brings another processing plant to Our Home’s operations, along with a crunchy cheese snack line that adds to its portfolio.

Our Home, owner of such brands as Popchips and Food Should Taste Good, has announced it has acquired Sonoma Creamery, a Sonoma, Calif.-based manufacturer of cheese snacks. The deal expands the company into the cheese snack category and adds to its better-for-you snacking platform, the release noted.

Sonoma was founded in 1931 as a fresh cheese producer, and about a decade ago it began manufacturing crunchy cheese snacks using only rBST-free milk. The brand’s snack line includes Cheese Crisps and Cheese O’s, all gluten-free certified and high in protein.

The acquisition includes Sonoma’s production facility and warehouse in Sonoma, bringing the company’s number of manufacturing facilities across the country to eight. The transaction is the latest expansion of the business, which has been busy, having added six of those plants since January. Our Home purchased two processing plants from Utz Brands last month, and separately had acquired the RW Garcia and Good Health brands (and another three manufacturing facilities in that deal) from Utz in January.
