Cooper Street Snacks bought Harvest Valley Bakery, a maker of private label cookies, bars and brownies. The acquirer promises to upgrade Harvest Valley’s sole La Salle, Ill., bakery, modernizing its production capabilities and improving efficiency.
The facility will be rebranded as Cooper Street Bakery, although it will operate independently from the Cooper Street Snacks brand. Cost of the acquisition was not reported.
Cooper Street, based in Birmingham, Mich., says it’s part of its own strategic growth plan, bolstering its production capabilities, enhancing its ability to meet growing demand and extending its reach. Cooper Street also makes sweet snacks, such as cookies, bars and biscotti.
