Farmhouse Inc. has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Thrown LLC, the parent company of Nappy Boy Dranks, a functional beverage brand founded by global music and entertainment icon T-Pain.
The announcement called the deal a combination of Farmhouse’s market expertise and T-Pain’s multicultural influence in gaming, entertainment and music, that is expected to accelerate growth for both sides. Farmhouse expects the vision and leadership of the Grammy Award-winning artist to drive innovation and create Nappy Boy Dranks as a positive force in the industry, the release said.
Farmhouse will acquire all membership interests of Thrown in exchange for about 25% of Farmhouse’s total issued shares post-closing. Thrown’s management team will remain in place under Farmhouse ownership, and Farmhouse must secure up to $10 million in financing, with 80% allocated to Thrown for working capital.
Thrown’s first product is a 2-oz. energy shot with Nappy Boy Dranks’ proprietary T-Mix Blend as the driving force behind the beverage.
“Nappy Boy Dranks is all about bringing good energy to everyone — whether you’re a gamer, creator or hustling every day,” said T-Pain, CEO of Thrown, in the announcement. “I want people to feel good, play good and stay focused.”
