Slicer, Co-Packer Virginia Packing Acquired by Forever Cheese

Oct. 22, 2024
Forever Cheese gains its third processing facility in the deal as well as the ability to offer increased value-added services to its customers.

Virginia Packing LLC, a specialty slicer and co-packer of cured meats, cheeses, and other specialty food products, has been acquired by Forever Cheese, according to a release from the importer of cheese, cured meats and other specialty foods shared today.

Virginia Packing will continue to operate out of its home in Toano, Va., and Forever Cheese plans to expand within the company’s current facility. Bringing Virginia Packing under its umbrella gives it an enhanced ability to offer value-added services — and gives Forever Cheese three facilities in its processing network, along with properties in Secaucus, N.J., and Hebron, Ill.

Virginia Packing is Forever Cheese’s second acquisition, with the company having purchased WA Imports, an importer and manufacturer of specialty Japanese and Pacific Rim ingredients, in 2023. Tim Harris, co-founder of Virginia Packing, said that the two companies have worked together for more than 25 years, and that has his team excited about the future together.
