Phat Fudge, a keto-friendly spread made with tahini (sesame) paste and cocoa and developed by “a performance chef and nutrition specialist,” has been acquired by Natural Healthy Concepts. Price was not disclosed.
Positioned as a “healthy” alternative to traditional sweet spreads and snacks, it has just 2g of sugar per serving and “provid[es] a balanced source of energy without the sugar crash.” It’s positioned as a sweet treat with health benefits. The developers claim it’s suitable for various diets, including paleo and keto.
Phat Fudge, which comes in squeeze pouches, was developed by Mary Shenouda based on her work with athletes. Formerly available only online, it will now appear in some retail locations via its ownership by Natural Healthy Concepts.
