Frazil Slushie Company Adds Trident Beverage to Its Portfolio

Feb. 4, 2025
Acquisition of fruit juice-based slush company gives Frazil enhanced presence in the K-12 schools channel.

Frazil, which provides convenience stores, movie theaters, amusement parks, water parks, stadiums, and family entertainment centers with slush and frozen coffee drinks nationwide, has acquired Trident Beverage, which makes 100% juice slush products for K-12 schools. The deal gives Frazil additional presence in the K-12 channel for its frozen beverage offerings.

The company expects Trident Beverage’s expertise to combine with Frazil’s flavor portfolio and service to elevate frozen beverages in schools across the U.S., according to Kyle Freebairn, CEO of Frazil. Trident was established in 2004 and has worked with school nutrition departments and administrators to offer slushies made with fruit juice through its Juice Alive brand.

Frazil’s slushies and its Café Tango frozen coffee beverages are offered throughout the country in various locations, with more than 40,000 machines ready to serve customers.
