Constellation Brands Invests in Non-Alcoholic Hiyo Drinks
Constellation Brands said today it acquired a minority stake in Hiyo, an organic, non-alcoholic “social tonic mindfully crafted with a proprietary blend of adaptogens, nootropics, and botanicals.” Price was not disclosed.
Hiyo drinks include ingredients such as ashwagandha, L-theanine, lion’s mane, lemon balm, passion flower and ginger. They’re marketed at non-alcoholic cocktails, with zero alcohol and 30 calories per can. Currently, there are four flavors: Blackberry Lemon, Peach Mango, Strawberry Guava and Watermelon Lime.
They’re currently sold in some 3,000 points of distribution across the country, including Whole Foods Market, Sprouts Farmers Markets and The Vitamin Shoppe, as well as online. The investment was made through Constellation’s venture capital group.
