Benestar Brands (formerly Evans Food Group Ltd.) and Palmex Alimentos, S.A. de C.V., two Hispanic snack companies merged in December 2023 by private equity firm Wind Point Partners, were just renamed Monarca Authentic Snacks.
The combined company is a vertically integrated manufacturer of crispy snacks, pork rinds, tortilla chips, snack mixes and in-pack salsa solutions. It has nine manufacturing plants in the U.S. and Mexico and distribution in over 17 countries,
Brands include Mac's, Turkey Creek and 4505 pork rinds, Chicas and Cazo de Oro tortilla chips, Las Ricas street snacks and Evans and Palmex snack pellets. Highlander Partners is also involved.
