International Food Solutions Acquires Senior Meals Provider Food With Care
International Food Solutions Inc. (IFS), which manufactures culturally inspired, ready-to-serve meals, has acquired home-delivered-meals provider Food With Care, giving IFS an opportunity to expand into the health-care and senior nutrition markets.
IFS currently serves K-12 schools, long-term care facilities, hospitals and U.S. military bases with its family of pre-made meals brands including Asian Food Solutions, Green Dragon, Aahar, Comida Vida, SNAP Gourmet and Miss Olive’s Meals. It was founded in 2008 and recently invested $65 million to build out a 120,000-sq.-ft. production facility in Cleveland, Ohio.
Food With Care has delivered its dietitian-backed meals to thousands of seniors across Florida for nearly 30 years, and reportedly sought a partner that “reflected its core values of servant leadership and making a difference in the lives of team members and clients,” said Jonathan Dickl, operating partner and president of Food With Care.
The Food With Care leadership and staff is expected to continue to work closely with IFS to ensure a smooth transition. The companies combined will then look to expand nationwide, the IFS announcement noted.
