Young American (Miami Beef) Adds Best Provision Co. Inc.

The Newark, N.J., smoked and cooked meats processor is the fourth company acquired since 2022 by Young American Food Brands.

Young American Food Brands (which does business as Miami Beef) has acquired Best Provision Co. Inc., a processor of smoked and cooked meats — its fourth acquisition since 2022.

Best Provision has been providing cooked meats for more than 87 years, offering beef franks, roast beef, pastrami, corned beef, beef bacon, bologna and other specialty items, out of its Newark, N.J., facility. It joins Hofmann Sausage, Brooklyn Burger and Devault Foods as companies acquired by Young American over the last four years. Best Provision’s products fit will with Young American’s Free Graze, Miami Beef, Brooklyn Burger and Hofmann brands.

Young American expects to invest in the Newark facility, adding to its processing footprint, and will look to Best Provision to play a key role in developing better-for-you offerings. Additionally, Best Provision offers its new owners the ability to enter the smoked snacks and beef segments with its own brands.
