High Basin Brands Acquires RTD Espresso Martini Spirits Brand Can-Tini
Texas-based spirits company High Basin Brands announced it has acquired Can-Tini, a ready-to-drink (RTD), nitrogen-infused, espresso martini spirits brand.
The company noted the growing popularity of espresso martinis and the premiumization of the RTD space as drivers of the acquisition, with Jordan Rothschild-Noomé, chief marketing officer of High Basin Brands saying Can-Tini was everything the company looks for in a breakout brand: “exceptional liquid, beautiful design, and the ability to stand out in a high-growth category.”
Can-Tini is the second acquisition for High Basin Brands in the last 12 months, and it joins Treaty Oak Distilling and Ghost Hill Organic Vodka in the High Basin Brands stable. The company was founded in 2023 by members of the team behind On The Rocks Cocktails, and it focuses on a deep commitment to organic production, sustainable practices and cultural relevance.
Can-Tini has built a following among consumers seeking coffee-forward espresso martinis, and the products are made with natural ingredients, adding to the attractiveness for those consumers, the release noted. Can-Tini’s founder, Henry Rathjen, said the deal gives the brand more resources, reach and strategic support “to scale the brand the right way.”
