Creminelli Fine Meats’ Parent Acquired; Tripician Named President & CEO

Investment fund manager Industrial Opportunity Partners adds Charcuterie Artisans, parent company of Creminelli and Daniele, and adds two seasoned industry executives to lead the next phase of growth.

Charcuterie Artisans, parent company of Creminelli Fine Meats and Daniele, has been acquired by an investment fund managed by Industrial Opportunity Partners (IOP), according to an announcement shared with Food Processing. Along with the acquisition, IOP has announced two leadership changes at Charcuterie Artisans that the company hopes will help lead the next phase of its growth.

Jeff “Trip” Tripician has been appointed president and chief executive officer of Charcuterie Artisans, and John Brock will be executive vice president of Sales & Marketing — both will be expected to work alongside legacy leaders including Cristiano Creminelli and other long-tenured leadership, the company said.

Brock brings more than 30 years of sales leadership with companies such as Sara Lee and Oberto, while Tripician joins the company after a stint leading cultivated-meat company Meatable, following decades of senior leadership experience at Perdue Premium Meat Co., Niman Ranch, Coleman Natural and Teton Waters Ranch.

IOP expects to invest significantly in Charcuterie Artisans to expand capacity, strengthen customer partnerships and drive innovation across its Italian-style meats portfolio. Central to the investment, the announcement noted, will be the continued expansion of the company’s Mapleville, R.I., and Salt Lake City, Utah, production facilities. Those two plants combined give the company nearly 700,000 sq. ft. of capacity.
