Cone Guys, a Bristol, Pa., manufacturer of cones — including the original pretzel cone — for retail, foodservice and other channels, has been acquired by pretzel franchise Philly Pretzel Factory.
Terms of the deal, which reportedly was finalized at the start of August 2025, were not disclosed.
Cone Guys was founded in 1994, and although it makes a variety of gourmet cones, including sprinkle-coated, chocolate and chocolate chip, the pretzel cone represents the majority of the company’s business, according to a Philly Pretzel Factory release. Cone Guys product is distributed through supermarkets, ice cream retailers, and third-party channels such as Amazon, Walmart, and Webstaurant, the release went on to say.
Dan DiZio, CEO of Philly Pretzel Factory, called the acquisition “a natural extension of our brand,” saying that it will allow the company to “expand [Cone Guys’] reach and explore new growth opportunities in the frozen dessert category.”
Cone Guys will continue production in Bristol, although there are plans for new innovation and expanded branding down the road.
