Salinas, Calif.-based Taylor Farms has acquired Chichester, England-based fresh prepared foods manufacturer Natures Way Foods, according to a release from the company.
Natures Way specializes in the supply of fresh, convenient foods for retail and foodservice customers in the UK, including such products as salads, coleslaw and potato salad. The company employs 1,300 people, and all current employees, executives and management teams will remain in place, the release noted. Natures Way was founded in 1994.
The companies expect to share best practices post-acquisition to ensure quality, innovation, food safety and sustainability practices are at the top of their game. The addition of Natures Way expands Taylor Farms’ global footprint beyond North America, and Natures Way will benefit from added investment in innovation under the Taylor Farms umbrella.
