Peterson Brands Buys Country Pure Foods, Maker of Juices
Peterson Brands, provider of fruit and vegetable beverages, on Dec. 2 revealed the acquisition of Country Pure Foods (CPF), maker of portioned and multi-serve juices, plant-based beverages and frozen novelties.
The seller was Blue Point Capital Partners, which has owned CPF since 2019. Price was not disclosed.
Headquartered in Akron, Ohio, CPF operates multiple manufacturing facilities in Howey-In-The-Hills, Fla., Ellington, Conn., and DeLand, Fla., as well as Akron. Brands include Ardmore Farms, SideKicks, VBlend, FUN!, VitaMost, and Glacier Valley—along with private label and co-manufacturing capabilities. Country Pure Foods serves a diverse customer base in K-12 schools, healthcare, restaurants and retail.
“During the partnership, Blue Point supported CPF in accelerating innovation in plant-based and aseptic categories, securing strategic private label wins, launching new products aligned with consumer trends and strengthening CPF’s commercial and marketing capabilities,” the Blue Point press release said.
This acquisition strengthens Peterson Brands’ position in key beverage categories and expands its presence across both retail and foodservice markets, the buyer said.
Peterson Brands operates within the broader Peterson Farms Family of Companies, headquartered in Shelby, Mich., which also includes Peterson Farms Inc., Peterson Farms Fresh, Lakewood Organic and Fresh Innovations California. Collectively, the family of companies serves retail, foodservice, K-12 and industrial markets across processed fruit, fresh-cut produce, branded beverages, organic juices and functional nutrition.
