Patriot Pickle has acquired Cosmo’s Food Products, a West Haven, Conn.-based manufacturer of pepper products and antipasto specialties, according to a release from the company. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Patriot, which processes and distributes fresh pickles for foodservice and retail customers, believes the integration of Cosmo’s business will support the company’s next stage of growth.
Cosmo’s was founded in 1944 by the Laudano family, and it supplies grocers, restaurants and foodservice distributors with peppers, garlic, olives, mushrooms, artichokes and other marinated vegetables — under the Cosmo’s brand and through co-packing.
