Canadian specialty foods company Premium Brands Holdings Corp. has completed the previously announced acquisition of Bridgeview, Ill.-based Stampede Culinary Partners, according to releases posted by Premium Brands and Wynnchurch Capital, the seller of the business. Premium Brands acquired Stampede for $688 million (U.S.).

The deal was first announced in early December 2025, at which time, George Paleologou, president and CEO of Premium Brands, said acquiring Stampede would help his company strengthen its presence in the U.S. foodservice marketplace and give it additional production capacity as well.

“Over the past couple of years, we have made significant investments in production capacity to support the growth of our market-leading branded and customized cooked protein initiatives in the U.S.,” he said at the time.

Stampede brings nearly 530,000 sq. ft. of production and innovation facilities across Illinois, New Mexico, Georgia and Ontario, which annually produce, store, and distribute 300 million pounds of retail and menu products including chicken, beef, turkey, pork, vegetables, prepared meals and alternative proteins.
