Western Smokehouse Partners Acquires Junior’s Smokehouse
Meat snack maker Western Smokehouse Partners revealed it’s acquired Junior’s Smokehouse, “a respected Texas-based manufacturer known for its hand-crafted jerky and high-quality meat products.” And Western plans to build its own production facility near Junior’s in El Campo, Texas.
“Junior’s Smokehouse brings 40 years of smokehouse heritage, a strong workforce and a reputation for premium-quality craft meats,” the acquirer said on LinkedIn. “The acquisition expands Western Smokehouse Partners’ national footprint and enhances its ability to serve customers with diverse product capabilities and increased manufacturing capacity.”
The Junior’s Smokehouse production facility makes jerky, smoked sausages and specialty meats. The company has extensive experience in private label production with rapidly growing customers, “making it a natural fit for Western Smokehouse Partners’ core strengths,” the buyer said.
Western Partners produces better-for-you meat snacks for private label and as a contract manufacturer. It has eight manufacturing facilities across Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Idaho and now Texas. Due to existing customer growth, Western will be building a second manufacturing facility, also in El Campo, which will break ground early this year.
