Five different founder-led businesses have united to launch a new private-label and contract-manufacturing platform named Keep it Real Foods (Real), which aims to specialize in protein-forward, fiber-rich and reduced-sugar breakfast and adjacent snacking categories.

The founding businesses include Oakhouse Bakery, MaGi Foods, Small Batch Organics, RIND Snacks and Whirlybird Granola — giving the new platform options to provide customers with granola, oatmeal, baking mixes and functional snacks.

Real operates roughly 200,000 sq. ft. of production space in five facilities across three states, and it can provide products in pouches, cups, sachets, canisters and bulk packaging. Furthermore, it plans to open a new automated facility to more than double capacity, the release from the company said.

Real is backed by investment firm CIC Partners.
