The former Parmalat facility is making Enjoy!, a new line of unsweetened, high-protein plant-based beverages.

Lactalis Canada last week officially reopened its Sudbury, Ontario plant, now dedicated to making the company’s new plant-based “milk” Enjoy!.

The Sudbury plant came online as a Parmalat facility in 1962 to process conventional cows milk. Lactalis’ French parent acquired Parmalat in 2011, and the two operations were gradually merged. In 2022, Lactalis Canada began renovation to convert the site into a 33,150-sq.-ft. plant-based facility, which began producing this past April.

Enjoy! Is an unsweetened, high protein line of plant-based beverages that entered the Canadian market in May. It delivers 8 grams of protein from peas. The six SKUs are Unsweetened Oat, Unsweetened Oat Vanilla, Unsweetened Almond, Unsweetened Almond Vanilla, Unsweetened Hazelnut and Unsweetened Hazelnut & Oat.
