Sales at Conagra Brands slipped 3.6% but net income tripled to $1.153 billion as the company released its full-year 2025 results today (July 10).

Sales for the fiscal year ending May 25 were $11.613 billion, down from $12.051 billion in FY24. But profits of $256 million in the fourth quarter reversed a $567 million loss in the fourth quarter of 2024, putting Conagra solidly ahead for the year.

CEO Sean Connolly called 2025 “an environment that proved to be more challenging than we anticipated. We entered the year focused on returning volume to growth and delivered consistent progress through the first half. [But] the second half was impacted by higher than expected inflation, foreign exchange headwinds and supply constraints.”

The 3.5% decrease in organic net sales was driven by a 1.0% negative impact from price/mix and a 2.5% decrease in volume, primarily due to lower consumption trends.

All four reporting segments -- Grocery & Snacks, Refrigerated & Frozen, International and Foodservice – contributed to a difficult fourth quarter, when sales decreased 4.3% to $2.8 billion. All four segments also recorded volume declines in the fourth quarter and the full fiscal year.

Guidance for its FY2026 is for sales to be plus or minus 1%.
