Bell & Evans Purchases Land Adjacent to Newest Processing Plant

May 4, 2023
Bell & Evans opened the state-of-the-art chicken processing facility in December 2021 and may be positioning itself for further growth.

Chicken processor Bell & Evans acquired a 62.7-acre parcel of land next door to its newest processing plant in Fredericksburg, Pa., according to local news reports. The land was acquired for $2.5 million on April 14, according to county records cited in the report.

The new land is adjacent to Bell & Evans newest processing plant, opened in December 2021 to much industry fanfare for its design and use of cutting-edge technology in comparison to “typical” chicken processing plants. Although the processor had stated its plans to build a second facility at the site, the company has yet to comment on the planned use for the new parcel of land.
