Keurig Dr. Pepper (KDP) plans to invest $100 million to expand its coffee roasting facility in Moore, S.C., according to local news reports. The expansion is expected to create 250 new jobs by 2027.
The state-of-the-art coffee roasting and manufacturing facility “remains an important asset in the ongoing evolution of our next-generation coffee production capabilities,” said Roger Johnson, chief supply chain officer for KDP, in a release published in the news.
The facility first opened two years ago — a $380 million investment that experienced construction delays due to the Covid-19 pandemic, according to news stories. The square footage of the expansion was not available, but the current facility sits just over 708,000 square feet.
