Dec. 12, 2024
Expansion project will begin immediately with an expected completion date in the first quarter of 2026.

Richardson International Ltd., a Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada-based, vertically integrated processor and manufacturer of oats and canola-based products, will expand its South Sioux City, Neb., oat mill and processing facility to more than double its granola packaging capabilities.

Richardson plans to implement the latest automation to improve efficiency, with food safety and quality assurance still top of mind. The project will begin immediately, with an anticipated completion date in the first quarter of 2026, the company noted.

“Richardson is proud to have one of the most efficient oat supply chains in North America – from origination to the manufacture of finished products,” said Rob Bielik, vice president, Milling Operations, Richardson International, in the company’s announcement of the project. “This expansion is the next chapter in our continued evolution.”
