Maximus Meats Builds First Processing Facility in Summerdale, Ala.
Maximus Meats, previously a butcher shop and meat wholesaler, is buildings its first processing facility, a 29,000-sq.-ft. plant in Summerdale, Ala., costing $11 million.
Local economic development officials said it will create more than 60 jobs and is scheduled to be complete this year.
The plant will process beef and pork products for the local community while also housing a retail store.
