Consumer demand for protein snack bars spurred the need to expand production capacity for Built Brands.
Nov. 18, 2025

Protein snacks company Built Brands LLC announced it will expand operations, opening a new, 132,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing and distribution facility in Provo, Utah — not far from its American Fork, Utah, headquarters and production site.

The company said in a release that it takes occupancy of the space this week, and that growing demand for its protein snack bars has spurred the need for expansion.

The new facility is expected to employ up to 500 new employees, from production line workers to warehouse and logistics staff, the company said. Provo will complement production capacity at American Fork and improve Built’s ability to get product to market faster. CEO and founder Nick Greer called the Provo facility “a launchpad” for the company, getting it “closer to making sure the whole world can experience the magic of Built.”

Built has expanded from being a direct-to-consumer brand over the years to gaining distribution in Publix, Kroger, Target, Walmart, Sam’s Club and Costco, among other retailers.
