An affiliate of American Foods Group LLC is recalling approximately 58,281 lbs. of ground beef products that may be contaminated with Shiga toxin-producing E. coli (STEC) O103, USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced.

Green Bay Dressed Beef produced the raw ground beef items on Aug. 14. Affected are 80-lb. cases containing 10-lb. plastic tubes (chubs) labeled fine ground 81/19, Halal fine ground 73/27 and fine ground 73/27. They were shipped to distributors in Georgia, Michigan and Ohio.

The problem was discovered when FSIS was notified that a sample collected by a state public health partner tested positive for the presence of E. coli O103. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
