Top 10 Reasons to Attend The Food Leaders Summit 2015 this April

Jan. 23, 2015
We've come up with 10 compelling reasons why The 2015 Food Leaders Summit should be the conference you attend this year.
Despite having recovered from the recession, many food and beverage companies are still running lean. Budgets are tight, resources are limited, and it takes a compelling reason to leave the office for a few days to attend a conference.

Here at Food Processing, we can empathize. That is why we've come up with 10 great (and compelling) reasons why The 2015 Food Leaders Summit should be the conference you attend this year.

  1. It's in Chicago. In the Spring. If you've never been to Chicago in early Spring you've not witnessed true beauty. Flowers will be blooming, colors will be vibrant, the atmosphere will be thrilling.
  2. It's limited to only 250 people. This conference is about quality, not necessarily quantity. It's not our goal to fill the room with as many bodies as possible. Our conference tracks, networking events and meetings will be small enough so that you can talk with everyone at the event – including the heads of some of the largest food and beverage companies in the U.S.
  3. We've got leaders, and regulators and think tanks (oh my!) Have you looked at our speaker line-up? We've got Charlie Arnot, CEO, The Center for Food Integrity; Gail Barnes, Managing Partner, Personify; and Justin Massa; CEO, Food Genius just to name a few. For the full list, visit the FLS Speakers Page
  4. Location. Location. Location. The event is being held in Chicago (I mentioned that, right?) Home to some of the biggest names in the food and beverage industry. Our city has quite the list of food glitterati – from CEOs to chefs. It's worth the airplane ticket alone just to eat the food!
  5. We've already picked out a cool abbreviation (FLS) and a twitter hashtag #FLS15, which we've been using wherever we can. It's highly probable we might break the internet with all of amazingness coming out of those hotel conference rooms.
  6. Blackhawks, Blues, and Deep Dish Pizza. Okay, I know. Every third point is about the location, but it's worth pointing out that Chicago not only has beauty, we've also got two major airports and a location smack-dab in the middle of the country, which makes us a fairly inexpensive flight from just about anywhere in the U.S.
  7. The Content. If you enjoy reading articles in Food Processing magazine and on FoodProcessing.com, then you'll love what we have in store for the conference. Think of FLS as the in-depth version of the magazine and website. Our writing may touch on a topic, but the conference lets you immerse yourself in huge issues facing food manufacturers today. Our speakers, our moderators and our editors will be talking about topics such as how to market food to consumers (that consumers will understand); transparency and how it impacts you as food processor.  You can get the full list on the Conference Topics page
  8. The conversations. We've got speakers, guests, and an entire Food Processing team ready, willing and waiting to talk with you about the issues you're facing. Bring plenty of business cards with you; this event will put you in a room with some of the best and brightest minds in the industry.
  9. We've got early-bird pricing. Grab your spot before February 28th and you'll save $200 on the cost of the conference. We've got the pricing information listed at http://www.thefoodleaderssummit.com/pricing-info along with a place where you can register for the conference.
  10. Great content. Great minds. Great location. To recap the previous nine points, The Food Leaders Summit puts some of the best people with the best ideas in one of the best cities on the planet. Need we say more?
