How Much Milk Will Santa Drink in One Night?

Dec. 21, 2023
Dairy Farmers of America has figured his consumption.

Two and a half days from now, Santa will drink nearly 6.9 million gallons of milk, 883.2 million ounces, as he makes his way across the country, according to figures from Dairy Farmers of America, the nation’s largest farmer-owned dairy co-op and biggest supplier of drinking milk.

That’s enough milk to fill more than 10 Olympic-size swimming pools if indeed every American home leaves out a glass of the white stuff to wash down those cookies. And if the elf on the shelf doesn’t get to them first.

DFA and Food Processing also exhort you to also leave some carrots for Rudolph and the other reindeer too. We wish you a merry Christmas and remind you that we will not publish a newsletter all of next week. The next one will be Jan. 2. So happy new year, too.
