Stiritz To Be CEO of Post

Ralcorp chairman moving to new company; Holbrook hired as EVP of marketing.

The Ralcorp board committee charged with finding a CEO for soon-to-be-spinoff Post Foods didn’t have to look far. Ralcorp Holdings Inc. in September announced its chairman, William Stiritz, will serve as chief executive of Post Holdings when the split occurs. As previously announced, Stiritz also will be chairman of Post.

Stiritz, who has been chairman of the Ralcorp board since 1994, was president/CEO of semi-predecessor Ralston Purina 1981-1997. "I … strongly believe in [Post’s] future as an independent public company," he said, adding, “The separation of Post continues to move forward and is on pace to be completed near year end.”

Ralcorp also announced James Holbrook will join Post Holdings as executive vice president of marketing, effective Oct. 3. Most recently, he was CEO of EMAK Worldwide, a family of marketing agencies, but earlier he held a variety of marketing positions at Ralston Purina, where he launched the Purina O.N.E. line of products.

It was previously announced that J. Patrick Mulcahy, vice chairman of the Ralcorp board, will move up to chairman of Ralcorp after the split.

The company intends to announce the remaining Post executive management team, including chief financial officer and chief operating officer, by the end of the year.
